The laughter at breakfast
The friendly staff brightened every morning with smiles and warm greetings. I still fondly remember our breakfasts filled with laughter and shared stories.
However, the street noise made it tough to catch a full night’s sleep, especially when the city came alive early in the morning.

I had a lovely stay in a spacious Standard Room with a clean bathroom, and the location was fantastic—it was just a few steps from the Ethnobotanical Garden and the Museum of Cultures of Oaxaca, which made my daily city strolls so enjoyable. however, the street noise in the morning could be a bit disruptive.

The location could hardly be better, with vibrant streets filled with eateries and bars just a short walk away, making it easy to dive into local life. The Standard Room offered decent space and a clean bathroom, with a nice little balcony that added an extra touch for enjoying the surroundings.
Unfortunately, the noise from the street was quite intrusive, particularly at night. I felt like I was missing soundproofing altogether. the commotion made it difficult to sleep before midnight. The absence of elevators posed a hassle, especially hauling luggage up the stairs. I also battled with the cold water pressure at the sink—often, nothing came out at all when I tried. Additionally, the hand soap dispenser was malfunctioning and had some questionable hygiene issues that could definitely use more attention. I found the dining options in-house to be pretty mediocre, especially the vegetarian Tlayuda that lacked flavor compared to other local spots. Lastly, the rooftop area appeared neglected, discouraging guests from gathering for sunset drinks.
